Derby Rims have angled spoke holes, water-drain holes, and choice of rim sticker color.
Black Sapim Race 14/15 DB spokes are included with list price or D-Light spoke options addtional priced (no CX-Ray option). Black Sapim alloy nipples
By default, all 29 and 27.5 32-spoke wheel builds are 3-cross spokes. 28-spoke, 24-spoke, Road/Gravel/XC builds are 2-cross spokes. Please email with single wheel, different lacing, or other wheel build requirements (ray at DerbyRims.com).
ONYX Hubs have 6-bolt or centerlock, ISO or Boost, or Lefty, and with anodized or powdercoated color options. Silent Sprage Clutch instant engagement, Ceramic bearing option, aluminum alloy HG or XD drivers.

ONYX VESPER hubs, with Modular Freehub Unit (MFU)
ONYX introduced the aproximately 60g lighter "Vesper" hubs April 12, 2019, pictured just below. Options are limited at first to ISO Boost with annodized colors, steel or ceramic bearings.
Note: The earlier ONYX "Classic" hubs have ceramic bearings as standard. The Classic hubs with optional 100% steel HG or XD cassette drivers are required for DH, ENDURO-DH, and e-Bike uses.
Vesper Hubs
All colorways, and custom powder coats are available for ordering. Shimano Hyperglide, Sram XDR, and Microspline are available.
Bearings
Vesper hubs come stock with a steel bearing manufactured by ABI/Enduro Bearings. Verinent Ceramic Upgrades are available for a surcharge. Ceramic upgrades include front hub bearings, and rear hub bearings; excludes freehub bearings.
MFU
Modular Freehub Unit
All Vesper hub models now feature our Modular Freehub Unit. This freehub system allows for easy interchangeability between Hyperglide, XDR, and Campagnolo freehubs without exposing the Sprag
clutch mechanism. A Microspline Freehub is also available (produced by DT SWISS) with spacer/seal to adapt to the Onyx design.
Retrofit kits will be available for the Classic hub line soon. This will allow for updating to XDR on classic road models, as well as MS adaptability on MTB/Fat Classic models.
